I was wondering if I would be able to buy a new female end, open the calculator and resolder it in if that’s even possible. @ow0 , ow0, Maybe try straightening pins carefully with a toothpick, if no success then consider the changing of port. If port is found to be bad/loose/damaged , this is really not a repair for the inexperienced because the charge port for your device is soldered to the mother board and the heat generated could cause further damage if not very careful....

Chosen Solution Hey, I have a late 2013 13” Retina MBP, everything was working totally fine until the trackpad completely died, I used it like that for a bit and then whenever you touched the trackpad the keyboard would stop working until you stopped touching the trackpad, anyway that’s not the point I just said it because it may have something to do with this. Now it’s doesn’t turn up sometimes, no fan, no chime, nothing, but if you leave it for sometime and then try again it boots up and works just fine, well with all the listed above, I thought that I could be the keyboard but I tried with the power pads, disconnecting the keyboard and battery and plugging it in and nothing I don’t know what else to do, I’ve reset the SMC, the NVRAM, Diagnostics are fine apart from keyboard and Trackpad, it just like dies and whenever it wants comes back to life....

Chosen Solution Coolpix L820 kills fresh batteries even when shut off in one day. Hi @lostinvn , I’m thinking that the date and time rechargeable backup battery (aka clock battery) may be the cause of the problem. It maintains the camera’s settings when the camera is off and is kept charged by the main battery. If the batteries were removed then the camera settings would reset back to default after a few days, not after just a day or less....
Chosen Solution I have an old G.E long neck lamp here, and whenever I insert a bulb nothing happens. However, it’s not completely dead because there were signs of electricity within the bulb socket. Rusty Old Dog use a multimeter and measure for continuity from plug to switch and from switch to socket. Do that for both wires. Check your switch with a multimeter and see if it functions. This could be a bad switch as well as a bad socket....

I did get to the load lion Software After 30 seconds or so it said there was an error and it took me back to the utility program I must be close I got to the correct screen....

Chosen Solution lg 42ls345t Turned on from standby with remote. There was a pop and the led went off. Have tried new fuse in plug but not that. Loud pops are usually caused by bad capacitors. Look at the “cans” and see if you can find one that is leaking or has an expanded top and replace it.

Chosen Solution Hey, I spilled water by accident on my M1 Pro Macbook 16 inch. I dried it and left it suspended for a week to let the water leave. Everything still functions as it should minus the battery. The laptop works when plugged in, but the battery does not charge, so the second the cable is unplugged, the mac instantly dies. Would a battery replacement suffice? Also checking the device diagnostics twice reveals that all other functions are fine minus the battery, but Apple charges $2000 for the repair as they want to replace every component....

I’ve managed to get it working again but I suspect there maybe a power management issue on the logic board. The Mac boots fine with battery plugged in. Put a charger on the thingy under the hood to jump start but didn’t work. Battery itself is in the trunk. Should I have put the charger there instead?
