Chosen Solution I have a Mid 2015 15” Macbook Pro Retina that had a swollen battery, so I took it in for repair at the Apple Store. Thankfully, (and probably due to liability reasons), the battery was replaced, as well as the bottom part that had been bent out of shape due to the swelling. Unfortunately, about 3 months later, the new battery began to have another issue. It did not swell, but the battery would only last about 30 minutes to an hour....

Chosen Solution I’m installing a new SSD in my Mac Mini and I want to migrate my old applications, docs and (importantly) OS 10.6.8 from the old HDD to the new SSD. If I back up the current HDD to Time Machine, can I install the new SSD and then “restore” it from the back-up? Will it restore the old OS 10.6.8? (Which is what I want). Or should I put the new SSD in an external USB case (before installing) and “clone” the old internal HDD to the new SSD and THEN install the new SSD?...

Chosen Solution The screen will blink once then turns off, the battery looks like it has a little corrosion on the conectors the red indicator light blinks when connected to charger but when I push the start button it goes to blue for a split second then turns off. Should I replace the battery? Just treat it like any other device that got submersed Follow this guide and reevaluate after. Good Luck...

Chosen Solution I fixed my iPhone and wasn’t able to get some screws unscrewed over the battery so I left it plugged, same thing with the logic board, there was one screw left so I just rotated it in the process, I wonder if I damaged it Better you can show it to a technician who repairs phones, so he can see whats goone wrong Hopefully you turned the phone off before doing any repairs....

Chosen Solution Well i ordered a new battery from ifixit, which should be here soon…. i hope. And i bought a iPod wall charger. Upon connecting the iPod to the wall charger, it started charging and came on. (Before in my last Question i said it wouldnt come on being hooked up to the computer.) And now it starts up and it has everything on it, before it would erase everything....

Chosen Solution When i hold the button on my jawbone speaker it doesnt turn on or light up, i plugged it in and nothing all i got was a very quick flash of red and i tried to turn it on while it was on the charger still nothing, i listen to it all the time what has happened Sadly you likely have a dead battery or the micros USB connection is bad....

Chosen Solution Any solution of this problem or the screen is fully damaged ? Sameeh Malik connect and external monitor to your laptop and see if that displays correctly. Looking at your picture that looks like a bad LCD screen but you always want to make sure. If the external monitor displays correctly you know it is your screen that needs to be replaced. Chosen Solution Hi, I recently did a repair on my partner’s Samsung S9-G960, whilst re-attaching the main board to the body a capacitor or resistor (I can’t tell the difference) came out. I will attach a picture of where it is. Part is called V2010 on the schematics. The phone seems to be fully working, but I’m worried we just haven’t noticed the problem yet. Chosen Solution Hi all, When trying to boot up the laptop (ASUS ASUSPRO P5440FA-BM0128R). It only shows me the ‘ASUS in search of incredible’ logo. It does not show the ‘spinning dots’ as it should be while booting. However, when booting it while connected to a power outlet it takes one reboot and then it starts up perfectly fine. Battery has already been replaced as I thought that’d be the issue....

Chosen Solution The charger connection is blinking green. The ON-OFF power switch in the monitor is not powering up the laptop. Do this: Unplug the computer and remove the battery (if it is removable) Hold the power button down for 45 seconds Without putting the battery back in, plug in the computer and press the power button. If it powers back up, insert the battery. check back and tell me if it worked

Chosen Solution I bought a late 2013 retina macbook pro Everything is working great. The only concern i gave is when i run a hardware diagnostic. it says there MAY be an issue with the display and gives me the error code VFD002. Should i be concerned? or is nothing. It’s a late 2013 retina. The error: VFD002 implies there may be an issue with the display.

Chosen Solution Male pin is missing for charging. Can I replace it or do I have to replace the entire motherboard? mnchef4u , The charge port can be replaced. This is really not a repair for the inexperienced because the charge port for your device is soldered to the mother board and the heat generated could cause further damage if not very careful, if fairly confident give it a try. I will post a link to a video/tear down guide to get you inside the tablet to check the charge port and will show what is involved in repairing a charge port attached to the board....
