Charger was also dead. No indicator was glowing, neither on the jack of the charger nor on the laptop. Kept for sometime to see whether there was any heating. Chosen Solution Menu button is not working anymore, after a year or so. I have to press back and menu buttons together for the menu to come up. Also, display doesn’t come. You can hear the notifications and screen is only displayed when a new notification comes up. Else, it stays black. Chosen Solution I have the above monitor which works sometimes and sometimes not. It seems that if left on for a while, turned off and then on, it will finally light up. It is my intuition that this kind of a monitor has a backlight and that this might be an easily replaceable item.
