Chosen Solution Hey, I had a liquid spill on my laptop. I disassembled it and cleaned the logic board and what I could with isopropyl alcohol. There was no corrosion except on the little card between the battery and the logic board. So far everything is working except the battery. Even though it is detected, it says ‘replace now’ in macOS and it’s not charging. Charger shows orange light. I’m more than willing to replace the battery by myself since I post here but I need as much clues as possible with your knowledge to exclude a logic board failure in which case it would be useless....

Chosen Solution Hi! I have a Macbook Pro 13” with Retina Display, 8GB RAM, and 250GB. I bought it “refurbished” yesterday and quickly updated to Catalina. Soon as I was browsing sites like Facebook or playing videos on YouTube (no other important apps running), I realized the top-left zone was really hot, so I installed Macs Fan Control, and It gives me 60-70 ºC. Is summer here and the temperatures goes usually close to 25-35 ºC around the day, and the humidity doesn’t really help....

Chosen Solution This is the sound my mid 14’ macbook pro makes when I press the power button (~4 seconds in): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqg-hEUU… It takes anywhere from 2 minutes - 10 minutes for the chime after pressing the power button. Sometimes even after 10+ minutes it doesn’t chime, so I have to press it multiple times. I have tried resetting the SMC and the NVRAM multiple times, running disk utility which reported one issue (probably due to me installing a 3rd party SSD years after the issue first started happening)....

Chosen Solution I recently had a terrible spill (entire chai latte directly onto the keyboard) that caused the MacBook to immediately shut off. After disconnecting the battery and letting dry for 48 hours, I turned it on very briefly and it seemed to be working except that the keyboard was a mess. from what I found online, it seemed likely that there would be further problems in the future if I didn’t clean out the laptop, since the drink contained milk, sugar, etc....

Chosen Solution My mac’s screen is totally black and no sign of startup when I press the power button. I’ve done an SMC and PRAM reset although that doesn’t work. The battery has been charging but other than that it hasn’t done anything. Right around the time it stopped turning on, my sister spilled some water on it —> although I’m not sure how much. I assume it has some water damage....

Chosen Solution Hello! After installing the new driver package for ME400CL with OS Windows 10 tablet does not start. The charge of the computer takes place. Chosen Solution Is it possible to extract the internal memory chip from a dead tablet and transplant that chip into a working tablet to recover the stored data? And, is there a schematic of the SM-T230NU Tablet available that I can use to distinguish between the internal memory chip and the processor? I took my tablet into the backcountry in June as a camera and journal. The tablet became soaked in my tent due to an overnight flash flood....

Chosen Solution My phone has fallen into water less than 10 sec not more than 2 cm and now the mic sounds like muffled is it a serious issue or will become properafter sometime Hi, Either the hole where the sound goes through for the mic is clogged abd would need to be cleaned out, or water got into the mic and would require it to be replaced. Chosen Solution Hey i have a Mitsubishi Endeavor 2006. The driver side window switch won’t open or close any of the car windows. The switches on every other door can still open their respective windows. I bought a new switch and installed It but that didn’t fix the problem. I’m thinking It could potentially be the wire connected to the switch. I wanted to see if anyone thinks this could be the issue or if it’s something else....

Chosen Solution It was factory reset already. Usually turns off within 24 hours, more often then not after a couple of hours. Booting seams normal. Its not trauma related either, I can shake the phone no problem. Then it sits there and just shuts off without reason or notice. I think it happend once that it just turned off while I was using it, but usually I pick it up and its off....

Chosen Solution My computer has been having problems for well over a year now. A while ago it would not turn on unless it was plugged in so I started using my moms battery and my computer would turn on then but it would shut off later on. The battery works perfectly fine on her computer but not on mine.My computer will now absolutely not turn on at all. Chosen Solution Hi, my controllers are not responding to my PS4. When i plug in the USB cabel and push sp-button, they are not resonding, but the light is blinking white. I have tried using them on another consoll, and they worked fine and battery level was 100%. The cabel is also Ok. Also tried the reset button by using a safetypin. The strange thing, is that the dualshocks responding when i use them in safe mode (tried upgrade and reinstall) but when i quit safe mode, restart, and push sp-button again, nothing happens and the light is blinking....

The laptop is very hot when I feel the touch pad, or the bottom of the laptop. Your laptop might be overheating due to a few different factors, outlined in the Flex 15 wiki. If these steps fail,replace your fan.

Chosen Solution Hi, anyone have a repair guide or video for an replacement of screen of my lg g8x thinq? thanks mike I have not found one, but it is incredibly similar to the G7 ThinQ, for which teardown videos are abundant. Just did my first one with no guide with success only because of having done G7. Battery is 10/10 difficulty to remove. Required 99% alcohol, a little heat from screen side, and constant gentle pressure....

I have tried turning it off and on again from the back. Can anyone help? I don’t want to have to buy a new tv :( Thanks in advance. It sounds like something shorted. Chosen Solution I have a early 2015 macbook air 13’’ and in my ownership of three years its always had a problem with randomly not being able to wake from sleep and totally unresponsive. This has happend to me at least 4 times where I go to use it after its fell asleep, and it just is completly unresponsive. Every time ive been able to fix it by resetting the smc, after resetting I would press the power button and it would just wake from sleep and pick up right where I left off....
