Chosen Solution I bought a used MacBook 12 inch(not sure what year) and it will not turn on. I tried the SMC stuff and holding down shift and the power button to no avail. The small lcd on the logic board by the battery disconnect turns on when plugged in, but when turned off it shuts off. I think the keyboard ribbon might need to be replaced not sure. Any help is appreciated!...

I have just purchased an iMac 27” 2013 model, it was sold to me as not booting.Fault finding process, Environmental, Hardware, Software or customer education, environmental and customer education ruled out. On to software; - used a known good version of 10.13.6 on a bootable Usb drive to boot the iMac - failed, normally this would prove software is not at fault, but there could be firmware issue if the iMac had a higher OS installed....
Chosen Solution I recently purchased a replacement battery from IFixit and after replacing the old battery I noticed that the new battery was struggling to charge and the magsafe adaptor was frequently changing from green to amber. I reset the SMC without success and re-installed the old battery which was charging at a normal rate. Update (03/05/2019) Coconut Battery It appears your battery is OK, but the charger and or charging logic has a problem....
Chosen Solution I’m really out of solutions because I’m not sure a lot of people had my problem. Whenever I try to boot my MacBook Pro in normal mode the internal screen is black and it doesn’t work. If I connect an external display I see the login screen but whenever I enter my password it loads halfway then it shuts down and restarts. Once the password is entered the internal display lits up with a black background....

Chosen Solution My xbox typically works fine but as of yesterday whenever I plug the AV cable in it turns off immediately and won’t start as Lon as the cable is plugged in but if I remove the cable it works fine. What can I do to resolve this? Which Xbox model? Is it the original xbox? Not the 360/xbox one? Have you tried replacing the cable?

I soaked the watch in distilled water and then used the bristles of a soft toothbrush to poke into the teeny opening around the sides of the button. My guess is that dead skin and soap and dust get in there to gum it up. It took a few times, but it worked!...

Will not respond to start switch for about 30 seconds. then the same thing happens, It eventually starts, but only after doing this a number of times (10-20) - How do I handle this? Update (06/25/2021) I have now attempted to reset my computer using the ‘fresh start’ option. Chosen Solution My MacBook began showing green vertical lines on various areas of the display. now the display black with pink lines across it. However, when i connect it to an external display. The image is fine and no lines are shown. Is it a GPU problem or is it the display? I tried resetting the PRAM and the SMC.. it made no difference. Before you replace the LCD, try just reseating the cables....
Chosen Solution A while back, my ‘w’ key stopped working. I investigated, and it seemed the plastic ‘cup’ of the key had actually fell off, so I had to replace the entire base (I’m not sure what to call it) using replace my keys - I’m hours away from the nearest apple store with no car. So I got the replacement, and I had to peel off the base and put down the new one....
Chosen Solution My phone is an I-Phone 5-c. My phone fell and now the screen is blank. I can hear it ring, but can’t see anything. Try a hard restart hold power and home button togeather for 7 seconds then let go of home and keep pressing power hopefully it will start. If not either the lcd connector has popped lose or the lcd is damaged Reconnect the LCD cable. If it still not works, then it seems the LCD screen is broken....
Chosen Solution My Kindle Fire when charging is turning on and off, sometimes to just the logo and other times to the first picture. Occasionally I see the books with “loading” on the screen. I also have a star in the bottom right of the screen when I see the books.
Chosen Solution My logic board broke on my MacBook Pro. I really need all the data and files from the Hard drive, which is A Samsung Solid State Drive as this was replaced a year ago. When plugging the SSD drive into my new MacBook Air 11”, it does not detect the hard drive at all. If anyone has any solution I would be hugely appreciative. Chosen Solution My laptop won’t power on without the charger being connected to it. It is only 2 years old and has not been used for a long time. It fails to charge up to 100% too. When it switches off it produces a clicking sound. What’s the problem My best guess on this is that the power board or power supply that switches from battery to wall power is having a problem....

Chosen Solution The picture is taken from somebody on the forum with a question like yours. If is that metal plate underneath the Touch ID (home button) plus, is best to put it on the new screen. You can take it from the old one using a bit of heat and tweezers. Your Touch ID (home button) may have problems without that. And here is the link from ifixit to change the home button....
Chosen Solution I replaced a customers iPhone 6 LCD and screen. Right now her screen has very odd yellow lines. Here’s the weird part , they are not perfectly straight and the do not go up and down. They are curly and go all directions. And it wasn’t like that after I completed the repair. They showed up a few hours later. Try on a new screen, looks like it’s defective....
Chosen Solution I was fixing a broken screen/digitizer on a 6th gen iPad and now have issues with the LCD after rebuilding it. Your guide was great. Minus dealing with the broken glass, I had no major issues disassembling the iPad and the reassembly was easy. Things went wrong though when I turned the iPad back on to check to see if the new screen worked. The LCD was now showing multiple of the same image....
