Chosen Solution My phone has a virus and I want to know how to remove it. If you believe you can identify the app or file responsible and can find the location of the virus you may be able to uninstall the app or delete the file by booting your phone into safe mode. Some viruses gain administrative rights so if you find an app you think my be the cause of the virus but it won’t let you uninstall it, then boot the phone in safe mode and go to your settings menu and open device administrators, find the app and remove its administrative privileges....

Chosen Solution My Lenovo thinkpad x1 carbon 3rd gen fingerprint no longer works, I have updated the drivers but it still doesn’t work. Have you looked in the Control Panel under Device Manager to see if it has a yellow exclamatuion mark? Sometimes corrupted drivers need to be completely uninstalled including settings. I usually use a freeware registry cleaner such as Ccleaner or Advanced System Care but use what you like....

Chosen Solution I have a MacBook Air that shows distorted vertical lines and blocks on the screen when the hinge is opened and closed. I suspect that the screen cable may be bad since it only happens when opening the lid, and not when pressing around the LCD. Can anybody else give me some knowledge on this? Thanks in advance. Your display is damaged not the cable! What is happening is the tension you are applying to the lid when you open it or close it causes the fine metal oxide deposits which are the wires that make your LCD work on the glass to break apart and then re-connect....

Chosen Solution My speaker does not say “Powering On, Altec Lansing” and there is a loud static coming from 2 speakers 1 on each side of speaker and then a low hum on both sides of the speaker 1 speaker each. It connects to the Bluetooth connection on my phone and the aux cord to my phone but I cannot hear any music, just loud static. Replace the pcm1808 chip on the main board....

Chosen Solution I was working on my MacBook air . Suddenly the screen went to sleep mode. When I tried to put it back by pressing the power button the keyboard lit but the screen did not. So I forced shutdown by holding the power button but then I could not start it normally until I had to long press the power button and kept it pressed till the apple logo comes on the screen....

Chosen Solution Hi All, I have a 2.2Ghz variant of this laptop which is exhibit a weird issue. It seems to work fine when on the charger but as soon as the charger is removed it will either freeze and shutoff or shutoff immediately. The battery is detected and is in supposedly good condition. It then proceeds to either bootloop or get stuck with the display off, trackpad and keyboard dead but with the keyboard backlight on....

Chosen Solution Hi all, An office activation key is linked to the wrong Microsoft account causing the user to log in to my Microsoft account to download and use office. Does anyone know how to unlink a key from a Microsoft account and link it to a diffrent one? I have already used Google to find a solution, but i did not find one. My last resort would be to call Microsoft and see if they are of any help, but i live in the Netherlands and calling to the US is expensive for me thus this being my last resort....

Chosen Solution Been using it for 20 years and has always run pretty cold, but was manageable. Since moving to a different locale (from high desert to wet part of the state), it took about six months to start running alarmingly cold. It’s turned all the way down, one “hair” above the defrost marking. Things in fridge are freezing. PLEASE HELP! I love my old fridge! Chosen Solution Hi, something weird happened to me. My bluetooth/airport flex connector broke apart where it connects into the socket. The whole docking part is now left within the socket and the flex cable now has just the leads and not that plastic box docking part. Is there any way to dislodge the connector from the socket without it being attached to the flex cable? in this picture, you can see the bluetooth/airport socket and the flex cable part stuck within....

Chosen Solution My lens will not retract when turned off. abcagle most commonly caused by a stuck lens. You should try the “tricks” mentioned on here. If that won’t work it is most likely that the lens is failing. You may need to either disassemble it and clean and inspect it, or replace it. Ultimately it is also possible to replace the lens.
