I would try replacing the battery first, and if that doesn’t work I would suspect other problems. All iPhones 4S and newer need a battery that is functional in order to boot....

Chosen Solution replaced the lcd and glass, customer brought it back with ghost touching and also after time the ipad wouldnt react when touching the screen. placed kapton tape on the glass and still the same issue. i have tried sliding the screen by just touching the lcd but no luck, does it need a new lcd? or will the lcd not react anyways when touching? This sounds like more of an issue with the digitizer glass/assembly....
