My Galaxy S7 is almost brand new. I got it, and when I was doing some work I accidentally got a thorn bush seed in the charging port. Managed to dig it out but now it only charges off my laptop and wireless charger. It says there is a problem with the battery when connecting it to any fast charge cable, and it won’t do anything at all off normal USB. Data transfer also doesn’t work, the file simply gets corrupted when transferring it from the phone to a computer and vice versa. Any USB that fits tightly in the port won’t work, and any one that is loose is very finicky.

Sounds like some pins might’ve been bent when the seed was removed from your charging port. If some data pins are touching each other, this can cause the issues you have described. Unfortunately the charging port replacement process for this phone is nearly impossible without factoring in a screen replacement as well. I recommend using wireless charging for this device to prevent further damage to the charging port.
