Hello. My Mega CD1 won’t read Game CD but audio CD play without problem. The CD-ROM icon never appaeared in the menu. Is this an optic problem and supposed to be tuned or is there problem in other parts? Thank you in advance.
adityarai2001, sounds like an issue with the laser. I would try to clean the laser with a professional clean kit first. You can also disassemble it by using these guides and clean it. If that does not work you most likely will have to try to replace the laser assembly.
If you have a multimeter check the ohms of the laser should be at 700 ohms or .700 k ohms make sure not to adjust the Focus pots
