My macbook air 11" Mid 2012 suddenly does not turn on anymore. Tried pressing the power button on for 10 secs, released and tried again - no luck Tried resetting SMC, pressed and held Shift + Control+ Option+ Power buttons. Released the keys at the same time. Then tried turning on the Mac. Tried resetting NVRAM. Do not hear fan or any sounds, seem completely dead. When I connect the power adapter the light on the magsafe turns green, but still no sound or power or boot. Looking for suggestions and next steps.
Assuming you didn’t get your system wet it doesn’t sound good here. Most likely the CPU has crapped out. I would visit an Apple store to see what they say, at least get a free estimate on what the costs will be.
