I recently bought a replacement battery for my laptop as my old battery is only able to hold my laptop on for 30 mins. When I plug the new battery in, my laptop does not turn on. However, it does turn on using the old battery. Any suggestions ? My laptop is a Hp pavilion 15-au004tx
Well, if it works with the old battery but not the new, typically I would say you received a defective battery, but we have a few things we can check. First, if the laptop has a charging status light, what does it show when plugged in? Typically on HP’s, if it is steady white the laptop believes the battery is full, if it is steady orange the laptop is trying to charge the battery, and if it is flashing white or alternating colors it detects an issue with the battery.
