Chosen Solution

My iPod nano 7th gen is just displaying white on the screen and the display just goes bright and dim all the time even if I try to put it on sleep, but before it had an all-white display, there were lines appearing. Is it just the screen or is it the board as well? ‘Cause I’ve dropped it as well, actually. But when it got dropped at that time, it was still working fine. The lines and white display just started a couple of months later, after it was dropped.

Sounds like your having lcd issues. White screen is common on iPods. I would doubt that the motherboard would be the issue. Call Apple to see if your device is under warranty, if not, then I would look at getting the LCD repaired and a service center or repair shop.

Just hold down lock, home, volume up, and volume down. Make sure you stop holding ALL buttons AS SOON as it turns black. This happened to me this morning and I thought it would help. It did.

None of these work for my 7th gen Nano. However what I have found is if it has been off for a while (not sure how long, hours+) and then I turn it back on, the screen works for about 10 minutes, then goes white. So it’s usable as a shuffle for long runs, but not if you want to change the music. Anyone else have this, and/or have a solution? Apple wants $100 to fix it.

I have that issue too. You could look online for new LCD screens for your iPod Nano 7th Generation, and watch some videos on how to change the LCD screens Update (02/03/2020) Yes, it can. You can look online for some LCD Screens
