I have an iPhone 5 that I just got today. It was dead, so I plugged it in. I left it plugged in for about an hour, and there was no charging indicator and it wouldn’t turn on. Is there any way to fix this? I would love for there to be a way without having to replace anything.

Hold Down both the Power Button and the Home button. This will hard reset the iPhone. If this does not work, I would next plug the device into a computer with iTunes. Just to verify the issue is not a lack of video. If nothing shows up on iTunes, I would install a Known Good Battery and see if the phone gets power. Most likely the battery is dead. The iPhone 5 has a REP Program for the battery. Go to https://www.apple.com/support/iphone5-ba… and see if your model is covered. If so, go to a apple store and have them replace it. Good luck
