Chosen Solution

Hello, recently I bought two iPhone 6s Plus from someone privatly. He told me that the phone on question recently had a battery replacement done by a repair shop. A couple of days later it died and smelt “weird”. Problem is: I thought it was a problem with the charging port/ battery. I replaced both with working parts but it won´t turn on, isn´t being recognized by the Computer (not even in DFU-Mode or by any other software. I contacted the costumer service because the battery was still under warranty by the manufacturer (Hagnaven a company that at least to my knowledge seems to be very good). Only thing that I wonder about is: Why does a repairshop use an almost TWO year battery to replace a battery of costumer? I don´t know if I can hope for help from the manufacturer of the battery. Right now what I am wondering: What are the possible defects? (I already replaced every part EXCEPT for the Mainboards of course. :D) How much will I have to pay in parts/ repair-service? Is it a problem where I need a SMD-Station for? If so: do you have recommendations for a cheap but OK station? If you have any questions about something ask. Thanks in advance.

It sounds like the motherboard has a short. It has nothing to do with the battery. You will need to have someone who does micrsoldering repair. I would recommend jessa from ipad rehab ipadrehab.com or Jason from sts telecom ststelecom.com they are a couple of the best at this. If you check their websites they will give you prices. Update (05/10/2020) If you want to repair it yourself you will need to buy a microscope, a soldering machine, and micropencil and a hot tweezers adapters, a hot air machine, I would also recommend a a dc power source and silicone mat to solder on. You will need to purchase a subscription to zxy which is a schematics service for cellphones and tablets etc.you can purchase it from jessa at ipad rehab ipadrehab.com for 69 dollars for a 1 year subscription. I am just teaching myself how to do this and so far I have spent about 4,000 dollars on equipment but I bought the best because why buy junk. I would also look at taking a class from jessa at ipad rehab. Also watch all of the videos from jessa at ipad rehab , Jason from sts telecom, Louis from louis rossmann on YouTube. And I would practice on iCloud locked phones before working on customers phones. I hope the information helps
