I recently installed an iFixit battery in my mid2009 MacBookPro 13” unibody. The battery worked fine for a while, but now the laptop cannot draw from battery power at all. I tried resetting SMC and PVRAM, but the laptop still shuts down hard when the power cable is pulled.
