My HP has had problems before. The problems were crashes every 10 minutes or so and weird noises. Now it almost smells like its burning but that could be its overpowered fan blowing burnt plastic from my Gateway P4D-66 It still makes weird noises Wont understand .exe files (on Windows 10) hasn’t crashed since but i haven’t used it that much Now its specs RAM: 4GB Max Ram: 4GB Graphics: CPU integrated CPU: Pentium(new) Came with Win 7
Hi @catninja2009 , Can you determine where the weird noises are coming from? Usually there are only a few moving parts in a computer, the HDD, the fans (case, PSU and CPU) and the ODD if in use. If it is the HDD and since you’re experiencing problems opening files etc it may be failing. Perhaps backing up your data to an external HDD may be advisable before it fails completely. Run a check disc on the HDD. What is the model number of the PC?
