My Dewalt Tough System Fell Overrun It S Face And The Woofer Died Speaker

My DeWalt Tough System DWST08810 was knocked over onto it’s face and the bass sub-woofer died. Everything still works except for the bass speaker. I looked at the circuit boards and re-soldered suspect connections, but nothing. I don’t know how to tell if it’s the speaker or the control board.

Hi, Use an Ohmmeter to measure the bass speaker coil to see if it is still connected to the speaker terminals. If the speaker coil tests OK, unless the coil is disconnected from the speaker cone, then most probably the problem lies back at the board. If the damage to the case doesn’t look too bad according to the user manual (see p.16) there is a 3 year manufacturer’s warranty on the product. Given its’ name it should be able to withstand just falling on its’ face. Just a thought.
