So Long story short I had to fix my wireless card on my laptop which I have not turned it on for like 2-3 months. when I put everything together I realised that the keypad was not working at all but I still could use the laptop. Next day I opened my laptop and my daughter was watching something on it then she shut its lid after watching it while the apps were still running. Then I fixed the mousepad but when I put everything together again I realised the laptop is dead (not turning on). The power light comes on and when I press the power button the power light blinks so it registers. Has anyone experienced the exact problem? Would it be the motherboard battery coz it got lose the first time I played with it. thanks in advance. Update (08/09/2021) Just a quick update. I have fixed the restarting error by replacing the cmos battery.it works very well now but now I have encountered another problem. The touch pad does not work now. I have tried everything but I am unable to get it work. I’m told to update bios but since my battery doesn’t hold charge I am unable to to that. is there any chance I can fix that issue? cheets

Hi @uaau , Does the laptop show that it is charging? If so, try a full power refresh and check if that resolves the problem. Disconnect the charger if connected and then open the laptop and disconnect the main battery from the motherboard. You only have to disconnect it, not remove it. Here’s the owner manual for the laptop. Go to p.16 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure for how to do this. Next disconnect the coin cell RTC (Real Time Clock) battery from the motherboard. (see p.48 of the manual) Press and hold the laptop’s Power On/Off button for a full 30 seconds and then release it. Reverse the above steps to re-assemble the laptop. Connect the charger to the laptop and try turning it on and check.
