My D Pad And Buttons Won T Work In Game Ps Vita Slim

My d-pad isn’t working in game but it sometimes does? Same goes for my buttons (x,o,∆,⬜). When I’m not in game my d-pad works ok but it’s still iffy. My buttons work fine when I’m not in game. When I press a direction on the d-pad it just keeps going in the down direction command, so it makes it hard to select anything. When I press on a button in game there is no response sometimes. This happened before and I just restored the settings and it worked the first time, but this time its not so PLS HELP!
