Chosen Solution
I tried the simple resets by unplugging, holding start button, then reconnecting to power. no response what so ever. power cord is good. strip power is good. what is likely culprit? Power supply? is it worth having repaired?
Try this first: SMC RESET Shut down the computer. Unplug the computer’s power cord from both the wall and computer. Wait 15 seconds. Attach the computers power cable. Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer. Let us know your results.
