my chromebook screen is just black

A “blank screen” is when the light on the power button is on, but the screen remains black. First try powering your Chromebook off by holding the power button down for several seconds, then turning it back on again. If you cannot power it off, let the battery run out until it powers off, then charge the battery back up and power it on again. If this does not work, reset your Chromebook with the following steps: Power off your Chromebook off.Insert a paperclip into the reset hole located to the back feet on the underside of the laptop. While pressing the paperclip in, press power button. Here’s an ifixit troubleshooting guide on Samsung Chromebook Series 5, this may help you. Samsung Chromebook Series 5 3G Troubleshooting If still you have a blank screen, then this could mean there is a problem with your monitor.  You can try try to connect a different monitor if you have one. https://www.online-tech-tips.com/compute

Try to put a flashlight to the screen when the laptop is on, if you see shapes or anything on your screen it’s a backlight problem so if it is a backlight problem you will need to get your screen replaced, but if not try a hard reset by holding the power and refresh keys for ten seconds, was this helpful?

I am also having the same the problem. I have some all of these steps still with nothing. But now when I put a light by the screen, I can see it but that does not help me any. I have read alot nd watched alot of video’s on how to fix it with no luck you so if anyone has some really great answers that will work on how or what to do to get this Chromebook back up and running then please feel free to share. Thanks in Advance!
