Hello precious, ET2 50 made between 1996-2001 has the the following frame prefix: ZAPC160 Whereas the ET2 50 made between 2001-2005 has the following prefix: ZAPC381 https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vespa_ET https://www.motorscooterguide.net/vespa-…
precious lightwood-carroll it is the 10th digit on your Vespa’s serial number that is the model year. So your VIN (being a 1999) would start with something like ZAPC1600 (as Christophe VAULLEGEARD pointed out) which does NOT indicate the year. ZA= Made in Italy P= Piaggio/Vespa C161M= Engine code next should be model number and finally the 10th digit is the model year. So yours may show a number 9 Of course we would need to have your Vespa’s number to verify and assist you further.
