After the socket blew

Naana Apaw, There are a few things you should try: Test with another cable and another charger, in another socket (outlet)Check with another device (using Lightning) to verify the charger/cable/outlet is OKCheck with a DMM (digital multimeter) the output is 5V from the charger If the phone doesn’t respond with a new cable/charger/outlet, but other Lightning devices responds to the same, you’ll have to (at least)open the device to check for damage on the logic board. If you’re not well versed in electronics and have a good understanding of components, we can try to help, but some things can be a bit hard to get at first. The charger “blowing” has most likely sent a power surge over the Lightning cable into the phone and cooked something inside. Electronics do NOT like power surges (or dirty power) but luckily many devices do have some protection against damage from such things.
