Chosen Solution
My nieces 3DS scrolls downwards on it’s own. I figured it was a malfunctioning D pad so I replaced it. The problem still persists and I am not sure what the issue may be. I hope someone here can give me a sense of where to look.
It may be caused by the thumbstick. Check that part as well.
