My cat dropped my 3ds a few feet but it didn’t hit a corner ir anything, it just landed flat. But since then, it only plays ds lite games but not 3ds games. I’ve tried it with all my 3ds games, none of them would read or if they did read, they wouldn’t load. They all worked on a different system. I tested all my normal ds games, they all load and play on this broken 3ds fine. I don’t know what to do, I alreasy bought a replacement but figured I’d see if it could be fixed before getting rid of it.

The contacts may be damaged, although i don’t know why it still plays ds games, maybe because the ds games file sizes are so small (New Super Mario Bros for DS is 32MB) compared ti the 3ds games (MarioKart7 is approx 600MB) the contacts may not be able to withstand the high write speed needed, the game slot may need to be replaced
