Hi guys, a friend of mine gave me his old 2ds that does not turn on, i thought it would be a problem with the power connector. But, using a multimeter i can see that the 4.6 volts reach the pins that go to the motherboard from the back of the connector. I charged the battery with an external adapter and the console works correctly, could someone help me to check any of the components that may be damaged? Or do you know where I can get a point-to-point guide to know where the motherboard should have voltage? Thanks!
There are two fuses on the board. One right next to the charging port and one beside/half underneath the wifi module. Marked F1 and F2. Some people say it’s a shot filter coil (the square block next to the port with four pins), others say it’s a broken charging IC. Does your charging light come on for a short time or isn’t it showing anything at all? I have the same problem right now.. There is voltage on the fuses and on the charging pins but it doesn’t want to charge the battery..
