i have been using motog5s for about 3 months now. it fell down once and the screen broke so i got it replaced. everything was fine after that. but now after the oreo update installation the touch screen isn’t responding. it is stuck at the command “to start android , draw your pattern” . however when i draw the pattern. it refuses to register.the buttons are working. i tried force rebooting it several times. i even tried putting it in recovery mode but it didn’t work the first time and after that i haven’t been able to bring the screen with the menu options.. everytime i try it the phone reboots. plz help

Sorry - not a solution but you are not alone with this issue. If you check over at the Lenovo forums, you will find several others in the same position - this only seems to affect those who have a replacement screen. We are all awaiting help from Motorola/Lenovo, but to be honest there has not been much response as yet. If you really need to get access to your phone, you can connect a USB mouse to the micro-usb port using an OTG cable, and then use the mouse instead of touch.

I’m having a related issue - after breaking my screen, I’ve tried 3 replacements and none have worked. All exhibit the same problem as you’re experiencing - no touch controls.
