Been asked to replace a motherboard on a HP G6-2261SA Does anyone know if there is any soldering required on this switch-over? Thanks
Hi @thelaptopdoctor , Here’s a link to the service manual for the laptop, taken from this webpage. Scroll to near the bottom of p.75 onwards to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the systemboard. To replace it, just reverse the procedure and the pre-requisite steps. Looking through the manual, there is no soldering involved. Hopefully this is of some help.
