Chosen Solution
I am currently thinking of buying a XR Logic board to fit into a broken XR (board comes with FaceID too!). The new logic board was deemed on EE before removal but has a “No service” problem. I noticed, however, that due to the modular sim card reader, this could be the reason for this problem and I resolved to using the reader of the broken (boot cycle) phone on the new logic board. Any thoughts?
My thoughts would be not to purchase this board. The likely chances of it being the sim card holder would be very slim. Although if you can get a refund it wouldn’t hurt to try.
