Hi, I’ve read a few topics around this but haven’t got a handle on what to do. So there was very little tea spilled on trackpad 3-4days ago. Today I opened the Mac and looked for corrosion. I couldn’t find anything unnormal, except for some dust which I cleaned carefully. I don’t have isopropanol at hand for cleaning… should i look for some? I get the error codes PFM006 and PPN001 from diagnostics. The laptop works somewhat fine, just slow. I’m writing this from it. What I’ve understood is that this is related to a heat sensor. What are my options? As I couldn’t see any visual damage on the board I’m wondering what should be replaced? How to further investigate the fault? Is there any workaround to lower the high kernel_task and high fan? I’ve reset SMC. High fan and kernel_task high also in Safe mode. Update (04/13/2018)

Do u see anything here? I did remove the ssd and airport after the pictures. UPDATE: Cleaned with isopropyl, no fix. What to do next? UPDATE: After cleaning the board a second time with isprop, mac wont start anymore… i removed the battery and still no charge light nor charge. I tried resetting smc. no help.did i break something? how to identify what?

Did you remove the logic board completely from the uppercase? Often the other side gets the worse of it! PFM006 is the SMC logicPPN001 is the iSight logic You likely need to look on the other side and clean it up. A soft toothbrush is what I use and just be careful! As you can easily lift the small SMT devices. Use a high grade isopropyl alcohol (85% or better). IFIXIT guide: MacBook Air 13" Mid 2013 Logic Board Replacement

Check the I/O board and mainly the I/O cable for corrosion they will cause sensor failures and high fan speed. Also check the Trackpad flex cable and trackpad for corrosion.
