Chosen Solution
My phone previously had a cracked screen that still work then I dropped it again and the microphone in it stopped working right after that. I got a screen replacement and problem is still there. Music plays and I can talk to Siri but there is no audio from me taking videos or on a phone call unless I have my AirPods connected. Would anyone have and quick solutions or advice on what to do about this??
I suppose you dont repair phones yourself, the screen replacement was done by a repairshop right? I would send in the phone to a repairshop for troubleshooting, some companies even do this for free at least in my country. I would start of by testing with a new charging dock flex, if that doesn’t solve anything it’s probably motherboard related and you will need to contact someone that does microsoldering jobs.
If you repair phones yourself i would buy a new lightning dock flex cable for the iphone 8 and then follow this guide. iPhone 8 Lightning Connector Assembly Replacement If this doesn’t solve anything i would contact someone that does microsoldering and send the phone to them for a repair.
