Any idea where i can get that part? the ribbon is so fragile, looks like it broke thanks Update After changing the microphone for a new one it is still the same problem, no idea what happened, i was being very careful inserting the flex cable on the board.. when removing the original one i pulled it instead of removing the tiny latch because i did not know Any idea? Thanks

Since you have a new cable, the cable shouldn’t be the problem. Start with disconnecting the ribbon and look if a part of the old ribbon may have got stuck in the connector. Then connect the ribbon again by inserting it again and make sure it is all the way in without using that much force, then close the latch to lock the ribbon in place. If this doesn’t help, a local repair professional should be able to replace the connector for you without it being extremely expensive, make sure to ask for how much they think it will cost before. (I’m not 100% how the connector looks, but it should be possible) Hope this helped you and good luck! :D

Sadly you knocked off a small SMT device from your logic board!

I can see you said you have a new mic - May I enquire how you got this mic? I have been searching for one for over 1/2 year
