I have an Iphone 8 plus. The microphone does not work in whatsapp or facetime calls. Sometimes you can hear static on the other end. Regular phone calls seem to work fine.
Have u tried hard reset? Try it. Press volume up, release, then volume down, release, then hold the power button until the apple logo comes up.
Have you tried uninstalling WhatsApp then reinstalling it or an app similar to YoWhatsApp, Gb WhatsApp, …?
