Hi, I just replaced the dock connector on a phone because I was told the microphone was having issues. After I finished replacing the dock connector I learned that it was not only the microphone but the speaker that was making a staticky sound, like if you were to put a phone next to a speaker or something. I’m thinking of replacing the speaker too but i’m not sure if this will fix it because whatever is happening is affecting the microphone too. Please come back with anything you think this might be, thanks!
Did you take the grounding cable off the old connector it’s located on the headphone socket screw hole.. And fit on the new one
