I filled up the memory card, i bought a new memory card, when i put it in and turn on the camera i get the message “card error”. I tried several times no-go. I then inserted my old card that i had filled up and I got the same message “card error”

Here is the user manual for your camera for reference: http://pdfstream.manualsonline.com/d/dfa… 1.) Make sure you card slot is free of debris. Use a toothpick and canned air. 2.) Make sure the cards are not write protected. See page EN-16 for reference. 3.) Format the new card. See page EN-18. Hope this helps.

donandjune1, Card slot could be damaged or faulty, ensure you are using compatible SD card for your device and unlock tab is in unlocked position. Check the contacts on the back of the card and in the camera, they can become dirty, wear out or become damaged. If contacts are simply dirty, then a small pen eraser can be used to clean them on the card carefully and possibly a very small Qtip dampened with 90% Isopropyl Alcohol for camera slot(be very careful not to damage contacts), if too tight just use canned compressed air to blow out dust/lint. Next look inside camera slot for any damaged pins and if able straighten with tooth pick very carefully. Find below a link to your manual which may have more trouble shooting info.. Good luck.
