All in the title. MacBook Pro also only operates with the charger plugged in. When the charger is disconnected it just instantly shuts off and doesn’t start up until it is plugged in again and the power button is pressed. When on and plugged in, the battery is stuck at 1% and the Mac operates extremely slowly and laggy.

The other option is to replace the logic board with a better board as this series also has issues with the dedicated GPU. I would look at getting a 2012 logic board which has a better GPU. In fact the system I’m using right now writing this was a 2011 model and now has a 2012 2.7 GHz board. It went through two 2011 logic boards before this one (GPU issues).
