Hello everyone! i had small issue. My macbook air 2017 13” is watter damaged. Current of water was very low. Laptop gets hit from right side (just for 1 second) and instantly shutdown. Now i cannot start it without charger. When i start it (with charger) charger lights normaly, my battery charging, all components are ready (volume, brightness, wifi, mousepad, touchpad everything) battery is normaly charging and when i unplugged charger laptop shutdown instantly and i cannot start. Damaging liquid was pure water. I opened mac and dry everything and keep for 3 days in rest. Status from coconutBattery is absolutly good. I found a water damaged parts: Top layer

What you think about alcohol cleaning? It will help? Solutions what i did (nothing works) SMC reset Replace battery (new one) Starting up with D key (all good) Have a nice day guys!

This is a tricky repair! Cleaning the damage may make things worse, What I would do is use is a hot air rework station and some flux to reflow the components in the area. The reason here is the components and logic board might loose the metal connections if physically clean the corrosion off using distilled water and you’ll likely need to carefully lift the components to clean under them as well. So… What I’m saying is this really needs a bit TLC that a person who does SMT work can do. This is beyond what you can do without risk.
