My MacBook Pro makes the normal power-on noise when it boots up but the display stays black. If I flash a light through the apple logo I can see the login page and after I log in the screen will display to an external desktop monitor I have hooked up through the HDMI port. I tried opening up the MacBook and performing steps 1-6 and 11 of the guide below thinking it might be a loose connection with the cable in step 11 but it did not fix the problem. MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Late 2013 Display Assembly Replacement I also tried steps 16-18 of the guide below as I saw a youtube video where someone fixed this issue by simply detaching and reattaching this cable (in addition to the aforementioned cable), but again it did not fix the problem. MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Late 2013 Logic Board Replacement I also ran an Apple Diagnostics test and it said there were no issues identified. Any other ideas before I have to bring it in to a shop to get fixed? I greatly appreciate the help, thanks!!
It’s a back-light circuit problem, you’ll need to take it to someone reputable locally that does Mac-book board repairs to fix it.
With these models this can sometimes be caused by either a faulty LCD Cable or a faulty LCD. It runs from the LCD to the Logic board. I would recommend if you can and have the knowledge to replace it yourself or take it to a reputable repair shop for help with it. This sounds to be a hardware issue more so than a software issue unfortunatly
Try reset the P-RAM 3 Times, totally off de Mac press Option + Command +P +R and press de Power Button.
