My Macbook Pro 15” touch bar 2018 doesn’t turn on. I tried resetting SMC and PRAM etc but still nothing. After holding power button for 10 seconds to turn it off, press it again to turn on, no sound or anything on screen but the touch bar flicker white then after that red, like a minute apart and very faint. Is this battery? or dead logic board?
Send it to Rossmann Repair Group in NYC. The owner Louis has a channel you can check out and from my understanding when this issue happens it has to do with a power management chip on the board that has a tendency to fail. In previous models he could replace it but apple went to the manufacturer of this chip and said “we want you to make a slight change to this chip so that it will only work with our products. Oh and you can only sell it to us.” It may be a longshot but it should be worth a try. I’m not a board repair expert.
