Decided to resurect my old Macbook Pro 15” 2010. The battery was swollen so ordered a new one and the laptop worked for about 30 glorious minutes. I went through the process to master reset it but came back to it completely dead. No sign of life, the magsafe isnt showing an led colour whilst plugged in, but using a test wand shows it is transfering power. Where do i go from here?

What does the onboard Battery checker telling you?

Are any of the eight LED’s lit are they blinking or steady? Update (11/29/2020) So we still have a dead battery condition with no battery checker or the checker is bad (not likely) This then points to either the DC-In board failing due to dirt or corrosion, or the plastic is melted a bit so its not making good contact to the cord.
