Hello everyone! I have the Mid 2011 13 inch 1.7GHz MacBook Air. After the battery died, it has been very slow. I have done some research into this and found people talking about something called Intel Speedstep, which throttles the system if the battery is not functioning. I do not want to buy a battery for this system, so I want to know if there is an easy way to disable speedstep. Thanks for any answers.

At this point you’ll need to find your way to someone which can do deeper diagnostics of your logic board. You might want to try reformatting your drive and install a fresh OS.
