Hi, My macbook air (early 2015) suddenly shutdown and doesn’t power on now. I tried the SMC and NVRAM reset but nothing happened. Any ideas about why it happened and how to fix it?
Usually, a battery issue will not cause a no power up issues. Batteries in MacBook Air’s rarely swell or short. When you plug it in, I want you to look at the charger light. Does it light up? Unplug it, and hold down power for 10 sec. Put your ear up to the vent and plug it in again. Do you hear the fan spin up?
Hello! This could be a battery issue. You may want to replace your battery. Usually if the device doesn’t turn on after you have reset the SMC, you are experiencing a major hardware issue. A battery replacement should do the trick. Good luck!
