Hello, I have an early 2014 13” macbook air that got damaged by water. I took it appart and let it dry for a fex days, and then reassembled it. Now it doesn’t want to boot when the battery is connected. When the battery is connected, the magsafe light doesn’t turn on, and nothing happens when I try to boot. If i disconnect the battery and plug in the magsafe, the lights turns orange and I can boot it. I can event plug back the battery while it’s on, but it doesn’t charge, and if I remove the magsafe, it instantly turns off. When I plug the battery while the mac is booted, it gives me the battery voltage and everything, but do not want to charge (without any error. Sometimes it’s just saying “the battery is not charging”, and sometimes it even says that it is charging, and the percentage is increasing very slowly). It seems like the battery is working fine, but the computer doesn’t want to use it. What could be the problem ? I already tried to reset the SMC.

Your logic boards charging logic is damaged. At this point I would recommend bringing in your system in to an independent Mac repair shop. Apple won’t fix a water damaged system. Your other option is just replacing the logic board MacBook Air 13" Early 2014 Logic Board Replacement
