Hope someone help me! Hey Hi Guys, I have Macbook Air A1369 mid 2011. It has screen issue so I decided that replace the screen of my laptop. But laptop screen is too costly so can’t afford. So decided to find dead laptop and install their screen to my laptop. I got dead laptop A1466. Ok main question is here. Can A1466 screen will fit to my laptop (A1369 Screen model LP133WP1-TJA1)?
Swapping the full lid assembly; 2010-2012 lids cross compatible (A1369-only A1466 2012) 2013-present lids cross compatible (A1466 2013 onwards) Check the serial number to find the year. If you were to install just the LCD panel, all A1369 LCDs are cross compatible, no difference in the LCD since 2010. Be wary however, I see a lot of attempted LCD only replacements which come to me, after going to another shop where they seriously mess up the backlight sheets.
Here’s the differences between these two series parts: MacBook Air 13" (Late 2010/Mid 2011) Display Assembly - Apple P/N 661-5732MacBook Air 13" (Mid 2013 through Early 2015) Display Assembly - Apple P/N 661-7475 Just in review of the guides and parts the newer displays iSight camera lead is longer in the newer display so it does appear the units could be swapped. The screens resolution are the same but I’m not sure if the signaling is (LVDS Vs iDP). I don’t have my laptop which has my manuals so I can’t tell you for sure.
Hi Dan so I’ve got a a1466 and I want to swap the screen / the whole lid assembly from that onto a a1369 do you you think it’s possible ? Thanks for you time Mat
