Hello iFixit, I am experiencing a weird glitch on my 12” macbook screen. The display color is blown out and showing almost translucent icons and/or previous tabs (it’s difficult for me to explain please refer to the picture below) The issue doesn’t affect the color on any videos being played although the ‘translucent’ icons still appear. I took a screenshot of the screen and the colors looked find on another device. Whats happening to my macbook screen? Update (03/12/2018)

Lets try this open your system preferences > Dock. Now check off ‘Automatically hide and show the Dock’ Did that fix it? Update (03/13/2018) The screen does go into a blur mode when the screen is in lock mode as your images shows. If you are seeing this effect when watching a video you have a logic board issue. I think you’ll need to visit an Apple Store to see what they say.
I got the same problem. A few people using macbook 12 also have this problem. The apple service staff said the only thing i can do is changing the screen thing. If you have apple care, there shouldn’t be any problem. But if your apple care is expired, this changing thing will cost you 500+ USD.
