The Cinema Display’s Indicator light is also black. The mouse of my MacBook Air 2017 disappears to where the monitor should be so the computer is seeing it, but the display otherwise appears dead. Is it time to give up on my old friend or is there a repair?
I think its wise to get a new monitor as you can get a larger screen with better image quality for around $200 used. This display uses CCFL’s and uses the older dual-link DVI connector system which besides being clunky won’t support 4K or 5K if you really want to push things.
