Hello can someone help me with my mackbook pro 2017: CPU get warmer and fans are spinnining too. One time upper line of pixels lit up, other time even made startup sound and one time even turned screen baclight on. Touch bar is dead too, it lit up 1 time but that is it. I even opend it to clean dust, and check screen cables but nada still didn’t work. i restarted SMC and NVRAM I would really apreciate some help on that one.
Oh Boy! You have your work cut out here. So this gets into the costs of all of the repairs you’ll need to get this puppy working again! The Touch Bar will likely need a new uppercase MacBook Pro 15" Retina (Late 2016-2017) Upper Case then given the age and how difficult it is to remove to move over you’ll need a new battery MacBook Pro 15" Retina (Late 2016-2017) Battery Then we still have the display and/or logic board issues to work out. I would think long and hard before putting to much into this system. Between the hot running CPU, butterfly keyboard, burn’t T-CON board and the FlexGate issues its one of Apples more poorly designed systems.
