Long story. My Mac crashed and wouldn’t turn on. I’ve had this issue before, so I tried to go through the whole force start thing, but it still didn’t work. I did a bit of research and ended up running an fsck repair. the issue was the volume which after a few attempts, repaired itself along with another thing which I can’t remember. but it repaired itself. It still didn’t go to the user login page, so I kept restarting it until I finally got into the Disk Utility. NOTHING there worked except running first aid. now everything is fine. volume is okay. internal physical disk is okay. External disk is okay. but it still won’t take me to the user login! I had the opportunity to erase the disk completely, but that operation failed and now I can’t find the disk and the recovery disk along with an external drive I had are completely locked. help help help!

Your system didn’t come with any disks. I do recommend once you get things going to create an install thumb drive so you have what you need in case the problem happens again. OK we’re still stuck on a boat without a paddle! Now what?? Not to fear Apple give us a second option here. First you’ll need to have access to the internet either via Ethernet or WiFi. What you’ll do here is connect to Apples internet recovery server to install the OS. When you restart your system press: Command (⌘)-R then arrow down to ‘Reinstall macOS’ Reference: How to reinstall macOS See if that works!
