2013 Macbook Air, display was shot so I replaced it with a grade C display. The display is working great, but when I start it up, the fan is suuuper loud. It isnt performing slow like other people with my issue. A lot of other people are saying it might be a poor connection which throws a temperature sensor off? The camera cant be detected either? I made sure the connection is solid.. not sure if its a temp sensor or connection issue? I’m positive that its a hardware issue, just not sure what it could be. I tried resetting SMC & PRAM. Error codes are: PPF003 - Issue with fan? PPN001 (This one appeared once out of the two times I ran the hardware test). Link I used to replace the display: MacBook Air 13" Mid 2013 Display Assembly Replacement Link of others with similar issues: Roaring fan + super slow after Display/Lid replacement I might just bring it to the Apple store tomorrow and see what they say.
Sounds like you may have gotten the wrong display or the display is damaged. Within the display is a thermal sensor which I suspect is not able to communicate to the systems SMC logic so the SMC goes into fail safe mode running the fan hard. Given the fact your camera is also not working leads me to believe the lid is not the correct one. Lets first verify what your system is go to this web site and plug in your systems serial number: EveryMac - Lookup paste what it showed you here so we can take a look to, then if needed we can point you to the correct display part. Otherwise you may need to return it to get a replacement unit.
