Chosen Solution

So my mac does´t recognize any internal ssd, old or new, but works fine with external drive… would changing the logic board be a solution? Done all the probable tests that can be done and it still won´t show the internal HD Thanks in advance

@rfo223 - Well you’ve got the better drive, which is good. While the drive maybe small for your needs (256GB) it should still work. So then the issue is the formatting of the drive. Putting this drive in you should be able to leverage your external drive to reformat it. But there is a small wrinkle here! The macOS version you are using needs to be Mojave or newer (I would stick with it) Make sure you are using the proper version as using the older Sierra release or older other wise you’ll hit the HFS+ vs APFS issue.
